Fair question, and we’d rather just answer it straight. Our studios are in Kolkata and New York, not the Bay Area. What we do have is a few years of work with SaaS and B2B teams who are based here, and honestly, most of our calls with clients happen over Zoom anyway, the same way they would with a firm three blocks from your office. If having someone physically walk into your building matters for your project, we’re not the right fit. If what matters is the work, we’d love to talk.

The conversation usually starts with where you’re at and what you’re trying to prove next, whether that’s getting something in front of investors or just shipping a feature your users have been asking for.

You probably won’t know from a sales call, and we don’t expect you to take our word for it either. Ask to see a project where a design change moved an actual number, like activation rate or support ticket volume, not just a before-and-after screenshot. We can show a few of those. If an agency can’t, that’s worth noticing.

We build the components, the states, the spacing rules, the whole token system, and then we sit through the handoff with your engineers rather than just dropping a file and moving on. A design system nobody on the engineering side actually opens is just a nice looking export. We’ve had clients come back to us specifically because a previous agency’s handoff didn’t survive contact with their dev team.

Probably lower, and that’s not an accident. SF-based studios are paying Bay Area rents and salaries, so their rates reflect that, often $150 to $250 an hour. We run a distributed team, which means we can do comparable work in the $5,000 to $30,000 range for most web app or SaaS projects, sometimes less for a focused audit. Same caliber of thinking, different overhead.

Yes, more of our recent work has leaned this way, dashboards with a lot of moving data, AI features that need to feel understandable rather than like a black box, that kind of thing. The hard part usually isn’t making it look clean, it’s figuring out what to show a user at the right moment so they’re not overwhelmed. If your product has that problem, it’s actually the part we find most interesting to work on.
